Hope that all had a good Christmas and a Happy New Year. We are trying to recover from a couple of hectic weeks for sure, but they have been great ones. The kids started spreading "Reindeer Food" in the backyard on Christmas Eve.
Well, apparently it worked, because Santa was able to find his way all the way to our home in Hawaii. The kids had a good time opening up presents, with the big ticket item being a kitchen for Ms. Mary Caroline. We are counting on some good vittles coming our way in the near future.
Adele even was pleased with what she found in her stocking. Hopefully it was a way to sleep through the night.

Then the day after Christmas we went over to Kaanapali Beach in Maui for a week with Meme, Papa, Aunt Kelly, and Aunt Kaitlin. There are alot of pretty places in this world, but Maui has to be near the top. Long story, but we took the Hawaii Superferry over there with our car, and it was a pretty rough 3 hour ride. Next time, the 20 minute flight sounds better.
Lounging at the pool...80 degrees, light breeze, and no worries...(except if we will sell our house)

Friends of ours, Dan and Cherub Lang, were nice enough to have us out to dinner at Cafe O' Lei, which is a fantastic restaurant if you get out to Maui. Give us a call and we will tell you how to get there.
Here Kelly and Kait were teaching Mary Caroline how to update her facebook status through telepathy.
I think that Meme is offering a beer to her 4 year old grandson here.
Nolin and MC's version of a rockin-New Year's Eve party. Dancing on a bench in Lahaina.
Shauna got carried away with Maui. Check out the surfers over our shoulder there. That is the island of Lanai in the background, and in that channel there are tons of humpback whales during the winter.

Good trip and good times. We even watched some bowl games, got the scoop on the latest Marist 11th grade happenings, and ate til we couldnt stand it. Yall have a good 2009.
